About Our Boynton Beach Dental Office
Not Your Typical Dental Practice
If you are tired of the tradition of spending long periods in waiting rooms, little time with the doctor, and impersonal care, Palm Beach Smiles may be the perfect dental office for you.
When you arrive in our reception area, you'll be greeted by Jo-Ann, who knows your name. You won't find a closed window with a placard telling you to sign in on the clip-board in front of you. You'll notice everyone on our team is happy to see you. We don't hide from our guests. You'll immediately notice the atmosphere is relaxing. From the soft lighting and soothing colors to the aroma of freshly brewed coffee and spa-like ambiance, you know this isn't "your typical dental office." Welcome to your new dental home.
Our patients choose us because of who we are and what we do, not because an HMO forced them to choose a doctor from a list. Our patients value private "VIP" care rather than being told where they can or can't go for care by an overbearing insurance company and getting the "bum's rush." If your appointment is at 1.30 pm, you will be seen at 1.30 pm.
While we do work with traditional insurance, we are not a contracted provider for any managed care (HMO) plans. Consequently, we don't have to run our office like a bus station. You won't find our reception area crowded. It's not because we're not "busy." It's because we have chosen to work for you and only you during your visit.

Jo-Ann is our office manager and treatment
coordinator. Jo-Ann has an impressive background and a solid foundation in
dental office management. In the "quarterback," position of Office Manager
at Palm Beach Smiles, she
will be involved in virtually every aspect of making sure our patients are taken
care of. If you need help with anything, feel free to ask Jo-Ann.
Sandy is our full-time chairside
assistant at Palm Beach Smiles. Sandy has 20 years of experience as
a dental assistant. Her father and grandfather were both dentists.
Dentistry has always been a part of her life. Sandy is an essential
team-member in providing dental care to our patients while doing everything
possible to make them comfortable.
Marcy,
Registered Dental Hygienist, is an important team member who joined Palm Beach
Smiles in 2011. Marcy's dental career began as a chairside assistant.
Her previous experience as an assistant puts her in the position of being a very
knowledgeable hygienist who can answer any questions you have about nearly
anything dental. Marcy is in command of preventive dental care. Her focus
is the maintenance of optimum oral health with the goal of preserving our
patients' natural dentition. Healthy gums are the foundation of a healthy
mouth. If you have questions on oral hygiene, Marcy is a highly qualified expert and
loves her work!

Fees, Financing, and Insurance
Fees
Fees can vary widely from office to office. Many factors can affect fees including the doctor's knowledge, experience, and skills. The quality of the results and service are oftentimes proportional to fees. We believe our fees reflect our ability to deliver on all of those factors at peak levels while creating a great value for our patients. As you browse through our site and experience our office in person, you will find that we are different. We hope you will find the difference a refreshing and rewarding experience.

Payment Plans / Financing

Insurance
We make every effort to keep dental care affordable
while maintaining the high level of quality to which we have dedicated ourselves. It
should be noted that dental insurance is designed to defray SOME of the costs of dental
care by paying only a portion or percentage of the bill. We coordinate traditional
insurance with treatment, when possible, and help our patients maximize any insurance benefits
they have. Our philosophy of
treating you using only our professional judgment and experience is not
compatible with the restrictive nature of managed care plans (HMOs). Accordingly, our office is not a contracted provider with HMO or DHMO plans.

Traditional benefit ("indemnity") plans do
not stipulate where you can go. You can see any dentist (including
us!) and receive the full benefits of the policy. |

If your benefit plan is a PPO, you will
still be able to use it in our office, however your benefits may be slightly
less than if you went to a dentist on their restricted list of contracted providers. |

If your plan is an
HMO / DMO, you will
receive benefits only if you see a dentist on their very restrictive list of contracted
providers. Naturally, it will be our pleasure to serve you; however,
your HMO plan will not cover any of your costs at our office.

Our commitment is to serve you rather than insurance companies. Ultimately, your insurance company is responsible to you. Unfortunately, we cannot make any guarantees or promises on behalf of your insurance company.
